Welcome to the Art room! Here, students use a variety of mediums and techniques. They draw, paint, print, collage, model with clay, stitch, weave, and sculpt in art class. Most of the projects are interdisciplinary and/or multicultural and tie into the teachers' units at the various grade levels. Students learn about different artists and their techniques as well. |
Art instruction is once a week for a 45 minute period for grades 1-5, and 35 minute period for Kindergarten. Projects last from one to three periods in the primary grades, and four or five periods in the intermediate grades. |
