Congratulations to Loften's Andrew Payne for his recognition in the Gainesville Sun's High School Blitz. Andrew received the Triple Crown Award for lettering in Cross Country, Track and Weightlifting. Go Eagles!
Congratulations to: Kera King for winning the Global Young Entrepeneur of 2008 and Johnathan Copeland for Runner-up Global Young Entrepeneur of 2008
- Tutoring program for Middle School through High School 9:30-12:30. These programs will be every Saturday from Jan. 26th to March 8th. Snack provided.

- February 15 - Applications from students must be post-marked
- February 22nd - Track meet at Clay High School
- February 26th - Track meet at Hawthorne Jr. Sr. High School
- March 7 - Acceptance letters from Academy Directors must be post-marked
- March 21 - Commitment letters from students must be post-marked
- April 2 - List of accepted Academy students due to the district
