Make a statement, be with others that share your interests, make a difference! Join a club.

(Please note that your membership will be suspended if you have an outstand debt.)

CREATIVE WRITING - This is a club formed to encourage young writers. Any student grade 9-12 with a desire or a passion for writing is welcome. Our goal is to supply a supportive atmosphere for the creative individual. The sponsor is Mrs. Doody.

DRAMA CLUB - is a group of students who are interested in expressing themselves creatively. Acting, singing, dancing, as well as stage production are activities that members participate in. Any student in grades 9-12 is welcome to join. The sponsor is Mrs. Potter.

F.B.L.A. (Future Business Leaders of America) - is a club dedicated to preparing young women and men for the business world they will encounter in the future. Any student in a business or computer class may join. The sponsor is Mr. Zuidema.

 

FCA (Fellowship for Christian Athletes) - is a club designed to promote fellowship and sportsmanship on campus. It is student initiated. Students from all grades and denominations are invited to become members. The sponsor is Mr. Jett.

FCCLA (Future Homemakers of America) - is an integral part of Family and Consumer Sciences. It is a club designed to teach leadership skills both in and out of the classroom. Any student in grades 9-12 who is enrolled in a Home Economics or Family Science class may join. The sponsor is Ms. Brennan.

FEA
(Future Educators of America) - strives to interest competent young women and men in the field of teaching. The club provides service to the school and the community. The club sponsor is Mrs. Ellard.

FRENCH
CLUB - is an organization for students enrolled in any level of French class. Its purpose is to enhance the knowledge of the French language and culture. The Sponsor is Mrs. Oliver.

HEALTH & FITNESS- The first goal of the Health & Fitness Club is to provide students with knowledge about nutrition and exercise via speakers and workshops on club days. A second goal of the club is to inspire one another to reach our fitness goals.  The club sponsor is Mrs. Sheffield.

HIGH SCHOOL/HIGH TECH (HS/HT)- This is an enrichment program for students with disabilities who are interested in exploring and pursing high tech careers, in math, science, computers, engineering, technology, etc. One of the main goals is to help students successfully transition to post-secondary education or training, and then on to a successful career.  To be eligible , students must have a disability, maintain a 2.0 GPA or better and have an interest in science , math, etc. with an interest in pursing post-secondary education or training. To maintain membership, they must attend at least 75% of all activities and be active in the workshops and fieldtrips, and maintain their GPA. The sponsor is Mr. Anderson.

INTERACT- This is community service club sponsored by the High Springs Rotary Club. Any student is grades 10-12 with at least a 2.5 GPA is eligible to join. The club concentrates on giving back to the community in a helpful way. The sponsor is Mrs.Faulk

JR. & SENIOR BETA CLUB- This is an honor and service club. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors  with a GPA of 3.5 are eligible to become members.  A 3.0 GPA & service points must be maintained to stay an active member. The sponsor is Mrs. Zehner


JUNIOR AND SENIOR FFA - are clubs designed to promote agricultural leadership, citizenship, and cooperation. Any student enrolled in an agriculture class may join. The sponsors are Mrs. Brady and Mr. Farrell.

KEY CLUB - is a service organization sponsored by the Kiwanis Club. Its objectives are to develop the skills of initiative, leadership, and good citizenship. Key Club concentrates on service projects that benefit the community. The sponsor is Mr. Turney.

PRE COLLEGIATE - is a society that enlists minority students with a college preparatory academic curriculum and a G.P.A. of at least a 2.5. Through activities, students are prepared for acceptance to the university of their choice. The sponsor is Dr. Curtis.

RAIDER READERS- This is a book club. We choose books of different genres and discuss them at the club meetings. We attend book talks with local or touring authors. Students must have a 2.0 GPA and no level 3 or 4 misconducts to participate. Members must be willing to make a commitment to read and discuss books. The co-sponsors are Ms. David and Mrs. Doner.

SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) - is a club designed to alert and fight against the largest killer of our young people today. SADD educates the community on the deadly dangers of drinking, and destructiveness of the peer pressures that lead to destructive decisions. The sponsor is Mrs. Joyner.

SPANISH CLUB - is an organization for students who are enrolled in Spanish 2 or above. Its purpose is to learn about the peoples, life, and the culture of the Spanish heritage. The club sponsor are Ms. Copeland.

VIDEO CLUB - This club offers students an opportunity to get experience in broadcasting by volunteering at TV. studios in our community. Field trips and guest speakers enhance knowledge of video technology. Through club activities students can show their willingness to work hard, which can be an asset when applying for the TV. production class. This club is open to all students 9th-12th grades with a GPA of at least 2.0. The sponsor is Ms. David.
