Walter Dean Myers has written over fifty books, which have received lots of awards, including two Newbery Honors, five Coretta Scott King Awards, and four Boston Globe Horn Book Honors. He was a Foster child  but was treated as if those where his real parents and always had the comfort from them if he didn't do something right or good. When Walter was younger he had a speech problem but that didn't change anything at all. Last he is a
