This pathfinder will help to guide you through your research for your "Around the World Travel Agency" Project. It will provide you with steps to follow to do your research. It will guide you to the information that can be found in the media center and the Internet on your topic.
Step 1: Plan - Choose your country.
Step 2: Search for information
First look in the Reference Section of the media center to find basic information about your country.
Look for: continent, surrounding countries, population, government, flag, language, map, capital city, large cities, money and religion.

When you have found the basic information, then use more specialized resources such as a book on your country, Online references or Internet links. Look for: modes of transportation, exports, animals, how to say phrases in their language, holiday celebrations, food and recipies.
To find a book on your country you may use the computer card catalog. Then you will need to go to the Non-Fiction Shelves to find the book.

Step 3: Take notes
Write your information on your rough draft data sheet.
Step 4: Use the information
Use your information from your data sheet to fill out your "Around the World Travel Agency" brochure.
Step 5: Share your information
Present your findings to your class and visitors.
Step 6: Evaluate your work
How did you do? Would you have done anything different?
