Sunshine Math
Sunshine Math was developed by the Florida Department of Education to provide an extra challenge to students who are motivated and self-directed learners. However, any student, regardless of prior academic performance, should be encouraged to participate as long as interest and enthusiasm for problem solving are present.
Sunshine Math is designed to promote higher math skills and help prepare students for standardized testing by challenging them. Parents are asked to assist the child, but not to do the work for the child or provide answers. Each classroom has a parent that is responsible for grading the papers and keeping track of points.
