Dear Parent and Guardian,
Piper Peterson from Mrs. Bowles second grade class and Keneth Rodriguez from Mrs. Stokes fifth grade class were our representatives on Meaningful Monday to exemplify students following the Lawton Laws. Piper was caught listening and following directions. She received a baby cheetah. Keneth was also caught listening and following directions. He was awarded a ten dollar gift certificate from Wal-Mart.
For the holidays, our school is once again participating in the annual Winter Break Food Basket effort, run through the Partners in Education program at Alachua County Public Schools. These food baskets are given to families in need, identified by school staff at our school and throughout the school district. Last year, the Chiles family (students and teacher collections, area churches and individual families from our area) donated 60 full baskets of food to this effort. We would like to bring in just as many this year. The list of items we are collecting is listed on the back of this newsletter. Please help Chiles continue to be a good community partner by participating in this wonderful program.
Coming events:
Parent’s Night Out - Friday, November 20th
Thanksgiving Holiday - November 25-27
PTA Math Night at Publix – Tuesday, December 8th
Sincerely,
Judy Black
