Welcome to EHS

Eastside High School is located on the east side of the City of Gainesville and has a student membership of around 1500. Eastside High School is a diverse school that houses two magnet programs: the Institute of Culinary Arts and the International Baccalaureate program, as well as a standard education program for all students who attend Eastside. Learn more about our school.

 

TESTING INFORMATION

All electronic devices MUST be turned off during testing. If they go off during testing, they will be taken and sent to the FCAT Administration and not returned.

FCAT Retakes for Reading and Math for 11th and 12th graders will be April 9 - 12.
FCAT Reading for 9th graders is April 16 - 19
FCAT Reading for 10th graders is April 23 - 26
U.S. History EOC for those taking American History or American History Honors is April 23 - 26
AP IB Exam Schedule link
Geometry EOC for those taking Geometry is April 30 - May 3
Biology EOC for those taking Biology is May 7 - May 10
Algebra I EOC for those taking Algebra I is May 14 - May 17 Students are assigned days to take the tests.
FCAT Reading for 9th and 10th grade is a two day test. Attendance is extremely important during these weeks.

-Yearbook distribution May 21-25 during lunch
-Underclassmen Awards Ceremony May 29, 1:30. 
-Senior Awards Ceremony May 29, 6 pm.  All parents and students are invited.
-Final Exams June 4-6
-Early Dismissal at 1:25, June 4-6

Yearbook distribution May 21-22 during both lunches. The schedule will be:

Monday, May 21: ONLY Seniors
Tuesday May 22: Juniors and Seniors
Wednesday through Friday May 23-25: ALL Underclassmen and Seniors
Students will need their student ID's to pick up their yearbook.
They will be given out during BOTH A and B lunches outside of Mrs. Rubin's
room (04-060)

Parent Portal

If you are not already using the Parent Portal, visit the school (Front Office) and sign up for a user ID.  You can use the portal to monitor your child's grades and attendance. If you have forgotten your password, you must stop by in person and identify yourself before a new password can be issued.

The state champion Eastside culinary team had top ten finishes in both culinary and management at their national contest in Baltimore last weekend.  The Ram future chefs and restauranteurs showed some serious skills.

The spring sports season has drawn to a close, and both the boys and girls Track and Field teams and the boys Tennis team won district championships.  This brings to 9 the number of championships won by Eastside teams this year.  Spring football practice has begun and our spring classic game against Leesburg is May 24 at Citizens Field.  Go Rams!
