Guidance Services
The Guidance Department is a place for students and parents to explore the unknown and receive help when needed for a multitude of services. Four Counselors are divided by alphabet for grades 9-12 and we have one counselor for the International Baccalaureate grades 11-12. Students can find out who their counselor is by visiting the Counselors sections of this page. The Guidance Department manages all parent conferences and appointments can be made through the Guidance Secretary or the International Baccalaureate Secretary for parent/teacher conferences.Students and Parents can also access a multitude of websites through various links in the College and Career Counseling section as well as the internet links and Scholarship information sections. These links can help you explore the financial aspects of paying for college and how to meet deadlines when applying for scholarships or loans. There are links that will take you to outside resources that can brea k down the college experience for you and even help you determine what college might be best for you based on location, size, cost, and course of studies offered.
The Scholarship newsletter is updated monthly and can also be found here in the Scholarship Information section. Links are found within the newsletter that will allow you to apply or just acquire more information regarding just some of the scholarships available out there for students.
We have a number of colleges that visit the campus on a monthly basis. Check out our College Representative Visits section to find out which colleges are coming to Eastside and when. Most of the visits occur in the Media Center during various times of the day. Students can sign up to come to the meetings by placing their names on the sign-up sheets located in the Media Center.
Please refer to the Academics section of the website for testing dates (FCAT, PSAT, ACT, etc.)
