Overview

The Eastside High School Culinary Arts Program is a curriculum designed to teach high school students the management skills needed for a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry. The program is a fast paced class that involves many areas, including a student-run restaurant, bakery, and catering service.

Students have the opportunity to participate in paid internships. When students meet academic standards and participate in at least 400 hours of work experience, they are awarded the Pro Start National Certificate of Achievement that allows them to earn college credits along with scholarships.
