Message from Mrs. Everett

                Dear Parents,

                This week will be a busy one for fifth grade.  Our academic focus will be in Reading - cause and effect, Math - probability.  These skills are being addressed in addition to our normal curriculum.  FCAT is approaching rather quickly.  I am reminding all parents to make sure your child is eating a good breakfast in the morning, along with getting plenty of sleep.  Fifth grade will be tested for 6 days.  The dates are as follows:

        Feb 26 - Monday --         80 minutes  -             Math

        Feb 27 - Tuesday -          80 minutes -             Math

        Feb 28 - Wednesday       60 minutes -             Reading

                                                60 minutes -             Reading

        March 1 - Monday            60 minutes                Science

        March 2 - Tuesday           60 minutes                Science

        March 3 - Wednesday      80 minutes                Reading

                                                 70 minutes                Math

It's an unbelievable schedule, I know - but the kids will do GREAT!! 

        On a lighter note, our Valentine's Party will be held on February 15. The list of kids are:  Sa'ron, Nick, Sydney, Christine, Logan, Tierney, Khalil, Bonnie, Alexandra, Jordan, Deon, Katie, Blake, Eliot, Divonte, Florence, Emily, Trey, Nia, Jodie, Dan, Angela, Moriah, and Kenny.  This party will be at the end of the day.  As always, the more the merrier. 

        REMINDER:  There is no school on Feb. 16 and Feb. 19.
