Head Start

Head Start is a federally-funded, comprehensive child development program serving children from birth to age five, pregnant women and their families.  The overall goal of the program is to increase the school readiness of young children from economically disadvantaged families and children with special needs.

Voluntary Pre_Kindergarten/School Readiness

This is a state funded Early Childhood education initiative providing comprehensive services to three and four year old children from economically disadvantaged families in an effort to improve their chances for school readiness.
