Excused absences may be given for illness, death in the family, medical or
dental appointments, and for special religious holidays.When returning from any absence, each child must bring a note to the teacher
from his/her parents explaining the absence. This practice informs the school
that the parent was aware of the child's absence. Please call the school when
your child will not be attending. make sure to include the child's first and
last name on all notes.
Requests for work missed due to absence should be handled through the
student's teacher or through the office; please give 24 hours notice for such.
If we cannot obtain the work at the time of the request, we will let you know
when it will be available.
Repeated tardies will be referred to the school
attendance officer, Children and Family Services, or to the state's attorney.
