The staff at Glen Springs follows the Code of Student Conduct of the School Board of Alachua County. All students are given a copy of the Code of Student Conduct. Additional copies can be obtained from school.

Consequences for misbehavior are as follows:

bulletFirst Misbehavior = Warning - flip card to yellow
bulletSecond Misbehavior in the same day = Time-out in classroom – flip card to red
bulletThird Misbehavior in the same day = Time-out in another classroom. A time-out form will be sent home that day with the student and must be returned the next day with a parent’s signature – flip card to blue.
bulletFourth Misbehavior the same day = Referral to Behavior
bulletResource Teacher for a consequence (Parent is typically
bulletcalled). A referral form is sent home and must be returned the following day with a parent signature.

An accumulation of four time-out forms in any given 9 weeks grading period will result in the student being referred to the Behavior Resource Teacher for a consequence. Excessive misbehaviors may result in student loss of privileges (field trip, classroom celebration, etc.)

Please let your child’s homeroom teacher know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

The First Grade Team
