Field Trip Policies

The behavior of one irresponsible child on a field trip could put the safety of all individuals attending the activity in jeopardy. We are unwilling to take the chance of including a child who demonstrates the inability to take responsibility for his/her behavior on field trips. We believe that only those students demonstrating responsible behavior should participate in off-campus activities. As a result, we have set expectations for student behavior in order to be allowed to attend a field trip and while on the field trip.

Students will be ineligible for participating in performance and/or field trips if:

bullet They receive one school suspension of any kind within a nine-weeks period prior to a scheduled play or field trip.
bullet They receive three Time Out Forms (short) or one Referral Form (long) three weeks prior to the performance or field trip.
bullet They receive two or more Referral Forms without a suspension within the nine weeks prior to a performance or field trip.
bullet They are on red level of the STAR program when the play is performed or the field trip occurs.
