STUDENTS WILL:

bullet follow directions from any school adult.
 
bullet  show respect for others and their possessions.
 
bullet  use appropriate language.
 
bullet  keep hands, feet and objects to themselves.
 
bullet  always walk in the hallways and on the sidewalks, quietly, and respect the quiet zones.
 
bullet  not prevent the teacher from teaching, or other students from learning.
 
bullet  follow the "Give Me Three" rules (Stop, Look & Listen).

Students receiving time outs, referral forms, or classroom/ cafeteria consequence tickets, must have them signed by the parent and returned to his/her teacher the next school day. If he/she does not comply the student will eat lunch in the Stop & Think Room followed by a phone call home. Absolutely NO FIGHTING of any kind is acceptable at Glen Springs. Physical violence is considered serious misbehavior and will be dealt with accordingly.

All children are expected to:

Be responsible for his/her personal behavior at all times.

bulletAccept responsibility.
bulletRespect the rights of all other students.
bulletCare for books, furniture, materials, and equipment so they can be used and enjoyed by all students. This includes not writing or placing stickers in or on school books, wall, and/or furniture.
bulletFollow good personal hygiene, health, and grooming practices.
bulletBe polite to others at all times.
bulletWalk safely on sidewalks and around the school buildings.
bulletCooperate with directions given by any teacher or staff

Toys, games, trading cards, electronic equipment, and other potentially disruptive objects are devices are not allowed on campus except as permitted by teachers in individual classes for special activities.

Skateboards and scooters are not permitted in the school or on the campus. They are never to be brought on the bus or carried to school.

Students can bring live animals and reptiles to school only by written permission from the classroom teacher. Permission will be given only when there is an instructional purpose for bringing the animal to school. Animals must be in a secure cage. Poisonous snakes and insects are NOT permitted in school at any time.

 

CLASSROOM RULES

Students and teachers at each grade level will define their own classroom policies, which are in agreement with Glen Springs' stated rules and polices. Class rules are posted in each room. Throughout the year, University of Florida students, St. Leo's students, and community volunteers work with teachers and students in school activities. These persons are to be given the same respect as teachers.
