End of the Year Testing

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:

During the next few months, we will be administering several standardized tests, per state law.
Attached you will find a brief summary of each of the tests, as well as when they will be given.
Specific details will be shared during classes to students that are required to take them. Each
test is a culmination of coursework, and therefore is not something that can be specifically
prepared for; however, as with other important tests and events, there are several things that can
help assure your child does his or her very best:

  • Pay close attention in classes, asking questions as needed
  • Complete homework and other tasks outside of school to help strengthen weak academic
    areas
  • Get plenty of rest the night before the test
  • Eat a nutritious breakfast the morning of the test

We encourage you to talk with your child about the specific tests that he or she will be taking in
the upcoming months.

Sincerely,
Veita Jackson-Carter, M.Ed.
Proud Principal

Testing Information:

As in the past, once a student has started a test, he or she will not be able to leave campus and
return to the test at a later date; the test will be invalidated. Also, students who are caught with
any electronic devices before or during a test will have their tests invalidated, per law. Please encourage your child to leave all cell phones, iPods, and or other electronic devices at home during testing days.
