Connecting from home
To connect your home computer to the computing resources
at the School Board of Alachua County, you will need an Internet Service
Provider. You may use any ISP that you wish, such as AOL, GRU, BellSouth
or Cox.
Online Grades
Once you have established Internet service, you can
access online grading. You can do this by opening Internet Explorer (not
Nescape) and in the address field, enter http://www2.sbac.edu/~cics
The first time you use this you may be asked to download Active X. This
is necessary for the program
to work.
If you would rather install QWS3270, Windows users, download
QWS3270 (you will need to obtain a username and password from the
helpdesk before downloading) or for
Macintosh users, download
Comet.
NOTE - CICS is not available every evening from 6:00 until 7:00pm due to system backups.
