Due to the large number of computers, software and other equipment that is purchased each year by schools and centers, we have found a need to standardize our purchases which helps us to support you more effectively.
A Software and Hardware Review Committee has been put in place that reviews these components. The committee may call on vendors to compare equal products/pricing, taking into account the quality as well as the purchase price of the item. Professional IT staff members are called upon to help in the evaluation process to determine the compatibility of any new purchases with existing equipment/software.
If the committee does not approve a request, they will try to recommend products that meet the requirements and standards of the district.
