Dear Parents/Guardians:

The end of the year is quickly approaching and we would like to inform you of upcoming dates and deadlines. If you have any questions, please contact Jenn Diley at dileyjj@gm.sbac.edu.

May 2^nd is Career Day through social studies and science classes. Any questions, please contact Phyllis Erney at 955-6960.

May 16^th is the 8^th grade social in the school cafeteria from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Students must be picked up no later than 9:10 p.m. Dress is semi- formal. The cost is $10 and includes food and drink. Pictures from the social will be available for viewing online. Students may get the website address, password and order the pictures through Terry Hoffer. We will take payment for the social, in cash only, from April 21^st – May 9^th. If you own a business and would like to donate food or service or parents/guardians who want to volunteer to help with the social please call Donna Miller at 665-8753. Additionally, any others who would like to donate money or supplies, please let us know.

June 4^th is the 8^th grade graduation from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church (10000 Newberry Road). Students MUST ride the school bus to graduation and dress according to the school dress code. Due to the limited seating capacity (1000) and the number of graduating 8^th graders, we’re requesting that only parents/guardians attend the ceremony. Parents/guardians may check students out after the ceremony to celebrate with additional family members.

Students who have overdue library books or missing textbooks must pay their fines or turn in their books in order to participate in the end of the year activities.
