PTA ALERT:
Kanapaha PTA is looking for several awesome
parents to fill several PTA Board positions.
THE PTA board needs parents that are
concerned about their children's education
and are interested in building good
relationships with other parents, teachers
and staff of KMS. If you are interested or
would like more information, please contact
the school at 955-6960 and/or email our PTA
president Joette Henderson at joette20@msn.com.
PTA Volunteer
Opportunities
- General
Volunteering: Activities include
but are not limited to book fair, field trip
chaperones, dance chaperones, health and
vision screenings, and assigning PE
lockers.
- KISS
Student Store: Volunteers are needed
in the morning hours to help run the
student store by restocking and selling
supplies to students.
- Newsletter
Committee: This group gets together
once every two months to help with the
folding, copying and labeling of our PTA
newsletter.
- Heart to
Heart: This is a very special
committee that takes care of our
children. Our KMS PTA has provided
food, backpacks, school materials,
coats, shoes and the list goes on and on
to our students in need.
- Teacher/Staff Appreciation: This
group of individuals helps plan and
organize a Teacher/Staff Appreciation
reception which takes place in the
spring.
- Media
Center: Volunteers help with teacher
requests such as Xeroxing and special
events such as Book Fairs, Spelling Bee,
Geography Bee.

Mini Grants:
This is the way we give our teachers
additional resources to provide learning
materials that will enhance our students
education.
