The Basics... |

Hours:
The media center is open from 7:30 to 4:00 pm.
Students must have a pass to come to the media
center
during the school day. Please do not send more than
five students at one time. For your convenience the
media center staff will provide passes at the
beginning of the year and upon request. |

We love Classes!
Please sign up to bring your class at least a day in
advance if at all possible. The sign-up sheets are
located in the teacher production area in a binder. Please indicate
what you plan to do or speak with the media
specialists so that we can provide the best
experience for you and your students. As you plan,
we are happy to assist you in developing media
center related activities for your topics. In
addition, we provide classes on research, book
selection, and writing
bibliographies. |

Want a book or video that we don't have? We will
be happy to try and find it for you at another
school. |
|
Need Equipment?
We have…VCR’s, DVD’s , camcorders, globes,
headphone sets for computer labs, JUDGE buzzer game,
Jeopardy game, opaque projector, PA system, slide
projectors, televisions, laptop/projector carts,
tape recorders, Smart Boards and boom boxes. The sign-up is
located in the teacher production area in a binder. These
materials should be returned by 4:00 pm unless you
have reserved them for the following day. In
addition, the equipment must be stored overnight in
a locked closet. |

News Flash:
The morning news begins right after the second
morning bell on Channel 69 every day of the school
year unless specifically noted. If you have
announcements, commercials, or wish to be on the
news, just talk with us or put a note in the news
crew box outside the studio.

Teacher Production Area:
Production area equipment and supplies include
computers, scanner, copier, laminator,
bookbinder, letter press, and paper cutters. The media center provides overhead bulbs,
laminating film, and Kraft paper. |
