with Movement
Physical
Education (PE) is about movement. Children love to move. They
twist, turn, hop, jump duck, run, leap, skip, roll, dance, zigzag, collapse, kick, throw, catch, and strike all in
their own space. All movement activities
are grade level appropriate as stated in |
Examples
of Littlewood Movement are:
All
grades: Team work, healthy sportsmanship, tumbling, fitness assessment and
healthy eating habits Fifth
Grade: Tennis, bowling Fourth
Grade: Gatorball Third
Grade: Golf Second
Grade: Batting, fielding, throwing and catching, and jumping rope. First
Grade and Kindergarten: Folk dance, fleeing, dodging and chasing. |

Safety is always
stressed with all movement activities. Tennis Shoes must be worn
on PE days. PE grades are based on
participation, behavior, and following school rules. OK LIONS, LET'S GET
MOVING!!!!! Ms.
