Academy of Agriculture & Environmental Resources

In the Academy of Agriculture and Environmental Resources students will enjoy project-based learning and will have rigorous lessons on topics such as ecology, organic farming, ornamental propagation, nutrient management, pest management, community service, global issues, and more. Hands-on activities include maintaining a butterfly garden, organic vegetable production for the school cafeteria, herb gardening, creating a wildflower meadow, distributing indoor plants to teacher’s classrooms to improve the classroom environment, micro-propagation, greenhouse management, and more. The program will provide students with opportunities such as internships, entrepreneurships, science fair competition, and a capstone project.
