3.2/25/2008 11:57:00 PMFIND, also Lexile SRI and other reading programs so that we can work more intelligently with our Reading Coaches and teachers. I would like to see more media specialists involved in workshops offered by folks like Deb Gallagher so that we understand where our SS teacher (for example) are headed. Literacy and Social Studies workshop by Gallagher for Media Specialists would be useful. Also smartboard training and website design.

I do not feel like taking on all the other media specialists over their taking money from kids without consulting me. I find that some schools are VERY proactive about collecting money and then I would find that the book was 15 years old and checked out 137 times and I got full price when I would much rather forgive the loss. What can we do to discuss this.
