Make purchase order out to Southeast Library Bindery and process like any other purchase order. State on the purchase order the number of books being sent for rebinding: Such as, "15 Books for Rebinding." Send the purchase order to Technical Services, Sivia Building. DO NOT put the purchase order in the box with the books.
Place and seal the books in a sturdy box suitable for shipping. Send the box to Technical Services by truck mail. Use a bindery books label on the top of the box. Place a contents card on the outside of the box with the needed information filled in. Books will be picked up at Technical Services by a freight company designated by the vendor. They will be returned to Technical Services by the vendor.
Books can't be processed when they are returned because Technical Services will not know the original bar code. The books will be returned to the school where they should be given the original barcode or another barcode reassigned.
For National Geographics specify color preference on a note placed inside the box. Check to see that the classification number is on the back of the title page and that this and your accession number are at least two inches from the top and side. The bindery trims the pages as part of the binding process, if your information is near the edges it may be cut off.

The bindery will pick up monthly.
