Technical Processors
Bessie Stalnaker, Judy Williams and Marie McCray are technical processors.  Their official title is Central Processing Clerk.  They create MARC records for the over 40,000 books sent in for cataloging each year.  They also create labels and handle the process of sending books to the bindery.  Another important function they have is adding Lexiles as well as Reading Counts and Accelerated Reader information to book records.  The addition of this information is very valuable to both teachers and students.
Voquivia Simmons is a processing clerk.    She packs and unpacks boxes of books, stamps all books, attaches a barcode to each one and attaches the call number labels to the spine label of the book.  She also mans the phones when the receptionist takes a break.
