The function of library media instruction is to provide the skills, experience and confidence that will enable students to use libraries for life-long learning.

The students will identify and locate resources within and beyond a school library media center.
The students will select one library media resource, or portion of resource, over another for personal use or academic assignment.
The students will comprehend, utilize and apply information derived from selected library media resources.
The students will design and produce materials in a variety of formats to present information or ideas.
The students will value and use a variety of literature resources for recreation, information and personal growth.
