Welcome to A.L. Mebane Middle
School, Home of the Mustangs.
I am your principal,
and I have been a professional, life-long educator and learner for
the past couple of decades.
Our faculty and staff value
working with adolescents while providing a safe, supportive, and
inviting climate. Everyone in our learning community sets high
expectations for themselves and for our students. Students and
teachers tackle the curriculum in engaging and active learning
environments. Our shared vision guides decisions that are made
that align with the social, emotional, and educational needs of our
students.
The structure of A.L.
Mebane Middle School is designed to promote maximum learning while
promoting an integrative, challenging, relative, and exploratory
curriculum. The elective course offerings in agriculture, art,
physical education, technology and band offer students the
opportunity to explore their talents. Assessments and data are
utilized to individualize and drive instruction school wide.
Teachers employ multiple learning and teaching strategies that
respond to the diverse needs of our students. There are
programs in place that develop and support meaningful relationships
among all stakeholders. Our student services department
focuses on guidance, self discipline, health, wellness and safety.
A.L. Mebane Middle School strives to meet the needs of all students
with a balanced approach to middle level education.
We encourage you to stay in
contact with our staff, teachers, and administrators via e-mail,
conferences, phone calls, the website, and the various activities
that occur after school hours on our campus annually. The
website has a calendar and other features that will help keep you
informed of what is happening at A.L. Mebane Middle School
throughout the school year. Please join hands with us as we
work collectively to do what is best for all students. GO
MUSTANGS!!!!
Sincerely,
Shane Andrew
Principal
