The Alachua County School Board has set up the Following course requirements for graduation with a STANDARD DIPLOMA:
 

bulletEnglish - 4 credits
bulletMathematics - 3 credits (of which 1 must be Algebra I, Applied Math I and II, Algebra IA and IB, or a higher level mathematics course.)
bulletScience - 3 credits
bulletSocial Studies - 3 credits in the following: 1 credit World History; 1 credit American History; 1/2 credit American Government; 1/2 credit Economics
bulletLife Management Skills - 1/2 credit
bulletPerforming Arts - 1/2 credit
bulletVocational/Practical Arts - 1/2 credit
bulletstudents can opt to take a full credit in either performing or vocational/practical arts to satisfy the requirments for both.
bulletElectives - 8 1/2 credits

Total Credit Requirements: 24 credits

In Addition, all students must have a 2.0 grade point average or higher and pass all sections of the FCAT.
