It is highly recommended that your school strongly consider purchasing a color or B&W laser network printer to share among several users rather than purchasing each user their own inkjet printer due to the cost savings on consumables and the higher reliability of laser printers.

EPSON CX8400  Inkjet Printer/Multifunction

HP Photosmart C4280  Inkjet Printer/Multifunction

LEXMARK E120 ($150) Monochrome Laser printer
This is actually a disposable B&W laser printer. If color is not necessary, save lots of money on ink cartridges by installing this printer as a desktop solution. It is shipped with a starter cartridge that should last through the school year. Important: the level of support for this printer will not include parts replacement, only paper feed issues and image defects.

EPSON RX595 Photo Printer/Multifunction

HP D7460  Photo Printer/Multifunction

LEXMARK X342n Laser Printer/ Multifunction

Carefully choose the network and accessory options that best fit your needs.

IMPORTANT: Since the price of B&W laser printers has dropped drastically, many questions are presented as to why the cheapest printer is not recommended. Any laser printer less than $200 is less likely to be supported by the manufacturer with parts - basically it is disposable. This fact should be taken into account when deciding on a printer. The printers listed below have a higher duty cycle, are designed for increased longevity, and have parts readily available.
