assure quality instruction for all students . . . by providing strategies
for the continuous professional development and assessment of all
instructional personnel.” (Alachua County Teacher Appraisal Resource Book)
Criteria for Collaborative Model
Teacher and administrator decide collaboratively on goal/s.
One goal is required.
Goal/s must
align to school’s SIP
reflect student data analysis
reflect consideration of Sunshine State Standards
use measurable objective/s tied to student achievement
The Collaborative Professional Development Model is regarded as a
teacher’s PDP.
Timeline of Collaborative Professional Development Model
Prior to October 1, administrator and teacher collaboratively select
appraisal model
By end of first nine weeks:
Collaborative conference held with administrator
Collaborative plan signed off by teacher and administrator
