Philosophical Basis
The Collaborative Professional Development Model is “to assure quality instruction for all students . . . by providing strategies for the continuous professional development and assessment of all instructional personnel.” (Alachua County Teacher Appraisal Resource Book)
 
Criteria for Collaborative Model

bulletalign to school’s SIP
bulletreflect student data analysis
bulletreflect consideration of Sunshine State Standards
bulletuse measurable objective/s tied to student achievement
bulletThe Collaborative Professional Development Model is regarded as a teacher’s PDP.
 
 
Timeline of Collaborative Professional Development Model
bulletPrior to October 1, administrator and teacher collaboratively select appraisal model
bulletBy end of first nine weeks:
bulletCollaborative conference held with administrator
bulletCollaborative plan signed off by teacher and administrator
bulletPlans in place and ready for implementation
bulletBy last day of post-planning:
bulletCollaborative conferences completed
bulletFinal appraisal signed
