The program of the CREATE Professional Development Council
shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assessment of inservice training needs
- Development of programs based on those identified inservice needs
- Provision of human and material resources for inservice training
- Facilitation of effective pre-service training
- Provision of support and assistance to beginning educational personnel
and more attention for those returning to the teaching profession
- Provision of inservice training opportunities
- Facilitation of internal and external evaluation of inservice training
in the Alachua County School System
- The Council should serve as a model for collaborative planning for
inservice

CREATE
Collaborative Resources for Enhancing Achievement Through
Education

CREATE Contacts
One faculty member at each school will be selected yearly to be the CREATE
contact. This person will attend the CREATE contacts' meetings, deliver
important information about training and inservice points to their faculty and
work with their administration to develop a Professional Development Budget
Proposal. This proposal will provide details to the Staff Development Department
on how the school intends to tie training of their teachers to their teachers'
PDP, how this training will be provided and what expenses will accrue to the
Staff Development Department for this training.
