When you renew your Florida automobile license tag, if you purchase the License for Learning plate, you automatically donate $15 to the Alachua County Public Schools Foundation. Your tax-deductible donation stays in Alachua County and is used for scholarships to assist our students.You can sign up for the tag at any time, including during your annual renewal month. If you renew your tag within three months prior to your normal renewal date, the cost is $27. After initial purchase, the annual renewal is $17 more than the cost of a standard tag.
