Project Makeover: Rawlings Edition

Over 500 University of Florida students participated in Project Makeover at Rawlings Elementary from February 29th -March 2, 2008. The students and volunteers painted hallways, created murals in each centrum, planted a butterfly garden, and landscaped areas around the school.

In addition to the renovations, the group presented over 1,000 books to be used in the media center and classrooms, and presented the school with a check for $1425.00 to be used by the school music program.  Many of the students and volunteers contributed more than thirty hours to this project.  The leaders of the project were Josh Jackson and Lorie Settin.
