welcome

Projects are assigned weeks in advance, and it is up to the student to manage his/her time to successfully complete the assigned project.  Time is given in class to complete projects, however, most projects are given with the consideration that SOME time will be spent out of class doing the project. There will usually be 2-3 projects given per grading period.

Current Project -Weemee Project
Due Sept. 25 Tuesday

Now that we have had some experience with Fireworks use fireworks and/or paint or any other graphic art program to design a weemee that will be your icon.  This weemee will be a part of stories and cartoons that you design and will be the digital version of you on your webpage!

Your objective:

  1. Create a weemee.
  2. Give your weemee 3 different looks.  Looks might include
    1. Different poses
    2. Different facial expressions
    3. Different clothes/outfits
  3. Design the exterior building/reality/home/office for your Weemee.  One environment is sufficient.  Examples might include
    1. A WeeMansion
    2. A House
    3. The corporate office of your Weemee
    4. The Weemee’s secret Hideout
    5. Your Weemee’s Vacation Condo.

Note:  All Creations should be your work.  It is ok to take a small part of a work (like clothing, or hair, from somewhere else if you know how to do it).  Just make a listing of what webpages you got stuff from.  If you do not use a credits/reference page, you will not get full credit unless you created everything by your own hands.

What you will turn in:
To the business lab box, turn in a folder with 3 weemee files and an environment for your weemie to operate in.  Also turn in a word file that has your CREDITS/REFERNCES where you copy the URL of wherever you took other parts from.

Recent Project - Tribal Flags

Get into the SURVIVOR team spirit. Make 3 DIFFERENT flags that could potentially represent your homeroom tribe. If you are not sure what symbols and icons could represent your tribe, ask someone else who is in your homeroom for ideas. Try to make each flag have a different design than the others (not just a simple color scheme). We may even vote on which flag is most likely to be used to represent your tribe...

Use the following guidelines...

1. Flags should be created on an 800X600 pixel canvas

2. They must be created using MS Paint (yes paint...we'll get to other programs later)

3. Flags should be saved as BMP files.

Mr. Rhodes will be teaching the essence of paint in class, so if you are not good with it, you'll learn. Due date will be announced soon!
