You and your child will be assigned a webgrade password and ID. Your child is expected to log into webgrade approximately once a week to check his/her progress in all classes. This serves as a regular progress report and can help reduce anxiety caused by grade reporting time. When you check webgrade, be sure to look at the grade summary which explains why the child's grade is as listed. If you have questions, it is acceptable to email the teacher of that subject area for further explanation or to request a conference.
Please remember: webgrade is meant to be a TOOL designed to help students maintain accountability, thus creating a successful educational environment. Your child's teacher can help you determine how to best approach a situation that may need help. For example, if your child is missing several assignments and they are listed as zeros, contact the teacher BEFORE having your child do all of the work. Extra credit will be the usual remedy for work not submitted on time.
