We
must ensure that our curriculum aligns with the Sunshine State
Standards. Instructional Validity forms have been created to
guarantee that standards are being taught. These forms are designed
to assist teachers by:
1. easily documenting and dating standards as they are taught.
2. validating the standards were presented.
3. providing a visual articulation of the content, specific skills
and assessments required by the Department of Education.
4. determining whether their specific curriculum is adequately
meeting state standards.
Curriculum guide revisions implement the Instructional Validity
forms as the design. The obvious intent is to validate the teaching
of standards but also to tighten the alignment among the written,
tested, and taught curricula.
