Night Program
Night Program for High School Students
The teaching staff at the Traffic Safety Center welcomes you to the
Student Evening Driver Education Course. We hope that you will gain the
knowledge, experience, and skills from our course to become a
successful participant in the highway transportation system.
Your attendance at these classes is extremely important. You cannot
gain the skills and experience needed to be a successful and safe
driver if you aren’t here. Please be on time.
Fall Semester
Course Dates: August 27, 2009 - January
13, 2010

Spring Semester
Course Dates: January 28th, 2010 - June
3, 2010
Registration: Accepting Applications January 25, 2010
Holidays: February 15, week of April 5-9, April 12, May 31.
Last day of course: June 2, 2010

To register for night class, call the
DE office at 352-955-6959 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
Times
Initially, the course meets from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm, Mondays and
Thursdays.
When the driving phase begins (after about three weeks) you will be
divided into two groups:
The staff at the Traffic Safety Center will do everything possible
to prepare you for your final driving test, but we do not guarantee
that you will pass. Excessive absences, as well as other factors,
may prevent you from obtaining the skills needed to achieve a
passing score.
