   Information about the Postsecondary Education
Readiness Test (P.E.R.T.)

The 2011 Legislature requires the evaluation of college readiness for select students prior to grade 12. These test results will be used for course placement in the senior year with emphasis on skills that will prepare students for entry into college level credit courses as well as gainful employment.  There are two testing sessions within the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (P.E.R.T.).  Students in grade 11 who scored level 2 or 3 on the FCAT Reading are required to take the P.E.R.T. Reading and Writing tests.  The exceptions to this testing requirement are a verbal SAT score of at least 440, an ACT minimum score of Reading 18 and English 17 or prior P.E.R.T. testing.  All grade 11 students who scored a level 2, 3 or 4 on FCAT Mathematics must take the P.E.R.T. Mathematics.  The exceptions to this testing requirement are a SAT Mathematics score of at least 440, an ACT Mathematics minimum score of 19 or prior P.E.R.T. testing.

Any junior who has already taken the P.E.R.T. (most likely at SFC) needs to bring a copy of the testing results to Guidance by Tuesday, April 24.

At Santa Fe High School the P.E.R.T. Reading and Writing will be administered in building 11 during periods 1 and 2 on Thursday, April 26.  The P.E.R.T. Mathematics will be given in building 34 during the student’s regularly scheduled math class on Monday, May 21.

Senior Awards Program
will be held Thursday, May 24 at 9:05a.m. in the high school auditorium, and the Underclassmen Awards Program will be held at 9:15 am.m. on Friday, June 1.

Questions about Class rings, Graduation Announcements or Cap and Gown orders?

 Visit   www.herffjonesnorthflorida.com
This is a great way for the students and parents to stay up-to-date with order and
delivery dates for Rings and Graduation supplies. Also parents can always know
the balances on items that have been purchased.

In addition to ordering, parents can make payments on Rings and Graduation
supplies prior to delivery dates. Less worry for parents sending cash to the
school with their students and assurance that the balances are paid.
