This is a book club. We choose books
of different genres and discuss them at the club meetings.
We attend book talks with local or touring authors.
Students must have a 2.0 GPA and no level 3 or 4 misconducts
to participate. Members must be willing to make a commitment
to read and discuss books. The co-sponsors are Ms. David and Mrs. Doner.
Teen Read week supported by the American
Library Association is Oct 16th through the 23rd. We
are going to have the public librarians do book talks
on the 18th and 19th . We will also be having students
and teachers do book talks that week as well.
Students will be dressing up as book
characters this week.

We are going to have a guest
author in Novemeber. Vivian Vande Velde is the
author of Tales from the Brothers Grimm and
the Sisters Weird, Never Trust a Dead Man, Companions
of the Night and many more breath taking novals.
