Congratulations! Your "Our Town, Hawthorne Florida Web Site" entry in SUNSPRA's annual Sunshine Medallion Awards competition has been judged a first place winner.

Presentation of the awards is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 at the annual Florida School Boards Association joint conference* at the Hyatt Regency Westshore in Tampa. The awards will be made during breakfast, beginning about 8:30 a.m., and we will be glad to arrange breakfast and seating for your representative and a guest.

We hope to make this presentation interesting, but we need your help. We would like a color photograph that illustrates your entry, shows your school staff or students, shows your school, or in some other way "represents" you and the people who made this entry a success. Like all school projects, this is short notice - we need it by Nov. 15!

We also need to know if you will be represented at the awards on Dec. 3; who those representatives will be; and how their names are pronounced. (If you are unable to attend, perhaps your Superintendent or School Board Chair would like to accept on your behalf. Please let us know.)
