Become a
Rockin’ Reader Volunteer!

Rockin’ Readers are school volunteers who go into an area elementary school for one hour each week to share the joy of reading and the love of books with two or three individual at risk children between the ages of four and six.

Children whom might well fall behind their peers in reading are given the extra benefit that comes only through individual attention. In addition, the volunteer can be a significant force in helping a child develop a positive self concept as well as the emotional maturity necessary for success in the classroom.

Training and registration for new volunteers will be held

Monday, January 25 – 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.

or

Tuesday, January 26 – 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.

at J. J. Finley Elementary School Media Center, 1912 NW 5 Avenue

Please come a few minutes early to select a placement.
