Where Children Succeed

Waldo Community School is located in Waldo, a small town in North Central Florida. Even though the school is 10 miles away from Gainesville, it is still part of the Alachua County Public Schools District, which includes all the schools in the Gainesville area, plus others in nearby towns.
In 1922, our school was originally built as a high school. Waldo Community School is now an elementary school of approximately 250 students. Students in Headstart through fifth grade are provided an excellent educational experience in a small, caring environment. Many of the students of our school have parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents who have attended Waldo School.
We would like to welcome you to our school's website. We hope to be able to use it to keep the community informed of our school's information and events in order to increase parental and community participation.
Thank you for stopping by, and we hope you enjoy your visit.
