Newsletter from
Our Principal
Dear Parents,
We have had quite a week at your elementary school.
The report of a stranger on campus gave everybody pause.
It was also a good time for us to review our on-campus safety
procedures and to tighten up a bit in some areas.
One
change we have made is to post a staff member on duty on the back
playground by the gate into the Greenleaf subdivision.
We will open the gate each morning.
It will be closed during the school day.
We are also going to be far more careful of parents or
visitors on campus who do not sign in at the office and are not
wearing a visitor’s name tag.
Unless you are walking your child to class in the morning or
waiting outside for afternoon pick-up, you must come through the
front office to sign in.
Remember do not go to classrooms when school is in session unless
you have signed in and have an appointment with the teacher.
If you need to give something to your child, please bring it
to the office. We’ll
handle it from there.
Thank you for your cooperation with these procedures.
Nothing is more important than the safety of our boys and
girls. We know you
wouldn’t have it any other way – and neither would we.
Next
week is a very short week as we all get ready to celebrate the
upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday.
School is in session on Monday and Tuesday only.
We will all enjoy the rest of the week as a brief vacation!
On the
back of this letter is the list of Wiles Leaders for the month of
October. What a great
bunch of students earned this honor.
Each month teachers select students who demonstrate
responsibility, caring, hard work, or honesty or all four together!
We are so proud of these boys and girls, and we know you are,
too.
The
Academic Focus for the week is Sequencing in
The
faculty and staff join me in wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy your family and friends and count those blessings.
We’ll welcome the boys and girls back to school on
Monday, November 30 at
7:45 sharp.
Sincerely,
Barbara Buys
