Fourth Grade News

This year will be a busy year for our fourth graders. We will keep you updated here on this website.

There are three field trips planned this year.

Once the dates and details are confirmed they will be posted here.

Black Stallion Literacy Project

Trip to St. Augustine This trip will happen after the FCAT tests are over.

Visit to WUFT on the University of Florida campus and a trip to the Gainesville Sun. (In May)

Parties

Each fourth grade class will have three parties this year. If you have not signed up to send in food or supplies for one of the parties please check with your child’s teacher to see what is needed! The dates for the parties are as follows:

Fall Party Tuesday, October 31^st

Carnival theme

Each class will be responsible for one activity. All classes will take turns rotating through the activities. We will ask for volunteers to help with this soon!

Winter Party Friday, December 15^th

All fourth graders will take a trip to the Performing Arts Center to see the Nutcracker Ballet performed and then will have pizza at the park.

Valentine’s Party Wednesday, February 14

Fall Festival October 14

Each class is assigned a booth. If you would like to sign up to work at that booth please contact your room parent. If everyone volunteers then no one has to work very long!

Junior Achievement will take place one day the week of March 19^th. Each class needs one volunteer to teach the children a business lesson for one day. Let your teacher know if you would like to volunteer or know a business person who would like to do this.
