COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols

  • Alachua County Public Schools is committed to providing a high-quality education while protecting the health and well-being of our students, staff, and families. This COVID-19 Response Plan outlines the steps that the District is taking to meet both those commitments.

Any scenario where many people gather together can pose a risk for COVID-19 transmission. However, schools can effectively reduce that risk by layering key prevention measures like increasing vaccination rates, wearing masks, using air purifiers, and maximizing physical distance.

The requirements and recommendations in this document are subject to change as new knowledge emerges and local community transmission changes. Alachua County Public Schools will continue to consult regularly with our public health officials and medical advisors to ensure we do everything we can to protect our students, families, and staff.
