Hello Falcon Families (and students!),
Congratulations to all of you for making it to the last day of school, what a year it has been! Parents and students alike deserve credit for making it through a year that we will never forget.
I am sorry this message is coming so late in the day. It was my intention to send out this morning, especially for the students to see but due to my lacking technology skills (I'm with you parents!), I got held up. Better late than never I hope. 8th graders will receive an additional email to follow.
Below you will see a few end of year reminders and a link to a video for our students. Please feel free to call the office with additional questions. Monday and Tuesday are post-planning days for teachers but the office will be open normal hours.
- Book returns: Books (text and media items) can be returned during school hours in the front foyer area. Please place on the carts provided.
- Laptop returns: Please return laptops and chargers to the front office. These will be collected in the front office, do not leave in the foyer area. Please knock and we will let you in. Your name will be checked off and we will inspect for damages at a later time.
- Student lockers: Lockers will be cleaned out starting June 2nd. Remember this is optional. We will take care of all textbooks, school items that need to be returned. If you need personal items, please arrive before this time to ensure items are not misplaced.
- Yearbooks: Unfortunately these are not ready, expected ship date is June 13th. Our yearbook sponsor (Ms. Cook) will share more details about pick up closer to this time. Thanks for your patience.

Hello Falcon Families,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. As we start another week of remote learning I wanted to share that Fort Clarke still has a limited number of laptops that can be checked out to students in need. Please call the front office at 333-2800 and we will arrange a pick up time for you. We are also working on other devices for check out.
I also wanted to make you aware that in addition to our teachers, our support staff in Guidance, Dean and Media departments are available to assist you in any way. They are working on Google classroom that should be posted soon. In the meantime, you can email them (https://www.sbac.edu/domain/7268) with any questions or concerns you may have.
As always, please let me know of any questions or concerns you have as we work through this time together.
Have a great week,
Mr. Taber

Dear Falcon Families,
I hope that everyone is staying healthy and doing well. I’d like to thank you for your patience as we got up and running during week 1 of remote learning. As we start week 2 I believe new norms will be established and things will smooth out for all of us. All families with email addresses on file should have received an email from their child’s teacher last week. For those without email, teachers and support staff began calling individual families to offer assistance. This will continue this week and beyond. Again, thanks for your patience.
I am aware there has been discussion and concerns about due dates and grading policies. Again, your patience is appreciated as teachers are in the process of establishing new policies and procedures for remote learning in virtual and traditional formats. Everyone at Fort Clarke understands that life as we know it is changing everyday. We will be discussing this topic during our next virtual faculty meeting tomorrow.
Looking ahead to this week, I do have an important announcement regarding our front office. Due to safety concerns for everyone, the front office will now be closed to visitor foot traffic. Hard copies of assignments will be available in the breeze/entry way and signs will provide directions for picking up and returning assignments. Please call ahead (333-2800) to save time and expedite the process. The front office will still be open from 8 am - 4 pm. Thank you for your understanding. I am confident this will help minimize the risk for our staff members and visitors. As always, feel free to call the front office with any questions or concerns.
The last announcement for this week addresses school laptop check-out to students. Many schools will start this Monday. Fort Clarke won’t be able to do this until Friday. I apologize for the inconvenience. Additional information will be sent as we get closer to that time.
Take care,
Mr. Taber

The boys basketball team would like to thank Davis Gainesville Chevrolet for their sponsorship of the team this year. Boys and girls basketball kicks off Monday, January 13th.
