"I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand."
Meet Ms. Steward
I have had the honor of serving Lincoln Middle School as an educator for the past thirteen years and over that time, I have been able to serve as the founder and advisor of Lincoln's first girls' step team (The Sparkling Diamonds), serve as a teacher liason as I disseminated information to my team from the administration and establish and maintain parent contact for the team. My responsibilities at Lincoln have allowed me to plan and schedule travel events for not only the step team but also for other Lincoln students (both the Major and Lyceum Programs). I have been able to foster relationships with the Tacachale Community as this is an annual venue for step team performances. I have also been able to provide an annual field trip and tour of the Bethune Cookman University, the University of Florida Engineering and Science Fair and engineering departments, and the University of Florida P.A.C.E. March to College Day.
I have been afforded lots of opportunities through serving at Lincoln Middle as an educator and the 21st CCLC Site Coordinator. I am truly blessed to have been able to work with both programs at the school and filter in all available resources at the University of Florida that allow our students to display their talents and have a positive impact on our community. These efforts are not only shared as our students perform at community events, such as arts festivals, MLK Day celebrations, UF and Tacachale Parades but also during our quartly Parent Literacy Nights. We worked with over 75 college students and Greenhouse Church members per semester who have been an invaluable resource for our 21st CCLC grant. I am pleased to announce the return of 21st CCLC!
