Institute of Culinary Arts students come in first in the state for 2016
The Institute of Culinary Arts won first place in the state this weekend. The Culinary team competed against 50 other teams to come in number one and EACH student won $40,000 in scholarship money as well as a full set of culinary knives They also will travel to Baltimore April 26th to represent the state of Florida.
The Hospitality Management team also competed against 50 teams to come in Number one and won $ 40,000 Dollars each in scholarship money as well as a full set of culinary knives They also will travel to Baltimore April 26th to represent the state of Florida.
Team members are: Mike Hill, Sarah Waters, Abby Gilkey, Darrious Camel- Culinary Team Holli Manche, Elizabeth Turner, Mariyanna Knight, Kiyana Reed- Management Team
In the meantime, Shanelis Vilanueva was being flown to Miami to participate in the Olive Garden competition. Shanellis was on Univision, the Spanish TV channel, participating in the show Sabado Gigante, cooking on national television. She has already won $1,500 because she is in the top 3 in the nation and now she is trying to be number one in the Olive Garden Competition.
